North River Road Reopening

Road work on North River Road (NFSR 217) is expected to be completed by March 23, with the road reopening to the public.

Camping will also be available along with access to Whigg Road. Please continue to use caution when accessing North River Road, as some finishing work will be needed to fully complete the contract.

“I’m excited to reopen North River Road, so our forest visitors can see and experience the improvements we’ve made,” said Stephanie Bland, Tellico District Ranger.

The office staff at MVCR were professional, personable, courteous, and responsive. The cabin was clean, and all the necessities were available.
